OVERVIEW

Deirdre is a partner of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Dublin office. She has extensive experience advising global and domestic clients on the establishment and on-going regulatory, compliance and corporate governance requirements relating to their Irish regulated investment funds, management companies, servicing operations and directors.  She has a particular expertise in UCITS and ETFs with strong industry involvement across different ETF committees and working groups.  

In addition, Deirdre has significant experience in AIFs authorised under the Irish AIFMD regime. 

BACKGROUND

Deirdre joined the Maples Group in 2011 and was elected as a partner in 2017.  She previously worked for a large Irish corporate law firm. In IFLR1000 clients report that Deirdre "has excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, team management and responsiveness", "is approachable and knowledgeable" and "has excellent client-management skills, ensuring the client knows the value of the relationship."

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Deirdre is a member of the leadership committee of the Irish chapter of Women in ETFs and a member of the Irish Funds ETF working group.
