OVERVIEW

Daniel is an associate of Maples and Calder's Regulatory & Financial Services team in the Maples Group's Hong Kong office. His practice covers a broad range of offshore regulatory matters, including virtual assets, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing, beneficial ownership, CRS and FATCA, data protection, economic substance and securities investment business. Daniel has a particular interest in virtual assets and decentralised finance. 

BACKGROUND

Daniel joined Maples and Calder in 2023.  Daniel trained and qualified with a leading Irish law firm before joining the finance group of Clifford Chance in Hong Kong in 2015, following which he worked in the Hong Kong offices of other leading offshore law firms.
