OVERVIEW

Andrew is a partner of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Hong Kong office. Andrew's practice focuses on investment funds for Asian clients and includes advising on all aspects relating to the formation and maintenance of both private equity and hedge funds for fund managers, institutional investors, family offices and financial institutions. In addition, he advises on a broad spectrum of matters, including downstream corporate and finance transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, as well as on general corporate law.

Andrew is an experienced presenter and published thought leader in relation to investment funds in both Cayman and BVI, having shared his expertise through (among others) the Asia Business Law Journal, the HKVCA and AIMA.

BACKGROUND

Andrew joined the Group's law firm in 2017 in Hong Kong.  Prior to that, Andrew was Counsel at Haiwen & Partners in Hong Kong and spent over six years in the Hong Kong office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
