OVERVIEW

Lorraine is a partner of the Maples and Calder's Finance team in the Maples Group's Hong Kong office.  Her practice covers corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and financing, with particular focus on private equity investments, structured finance products, pre-IPO financings, and IPOs of BVI and Cayman Islands companies on global stock exchanges, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and the United States.  Lorraine also regularly advises clients in China on a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions.

BACKGROUND

Lorraine joined the Maples Group in 2007 and was elected as a partner in 2016.  She previously worked for Richards Butler in Hong Kong.  Lorraine is a native Cantonese speaker and is fluent in Mandarin.  She has been recommended by The Legal 500 and was shortlisted as a “Rising Star in Finance” in the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2016. Lorraine has been recognised as notable practitioner by IFLR 1000.
