OVERVIEW

Waleed has experience in providing fiduciary services to UK structured finance and aircraft leasing special purpose vehicles, which include a range of public and private securitisation transactions. He has also worked on the legal side of structured finance and aircraft leasing transactions. Waleed also has corporate secretarial experience including with corporate actions and transactions and their corresponding documentation, board resolutions and company filings.

BACKGROUND

Previously, Waleed was a Client Manager at Link Asset Services, where he managed a portfolio of structured finance transactions throughout the life of the SPVs, attended board meetings, ensured compliance with internal policies and on-boarded new clients. Prior to this, he worked  as a paralegal within the Maples Group's legal services division in the finance and corporate teams, where he advised a range of financial institutions and corporates on various structures, company formations, governance, security registrations / variations, listings and liquidations. Before joining the Maples Group, Waleed was a paralegal in the banking and finance team of Dentons UKMEA LLP, focusing on aircraft, shipping, trade and project finance. Waleed also has experience in providing company secretarial services to resident management companies during his time at FirstPort Property Services.
