Maples advises Version 1 on third UK acquisition

16 Jan 2015

The Irish office of leading international law firm Maples and Calder ("Maples") is delighted to have advised Version 1, Ireland’s leading IT consulting and managed services company, on all aspects of its recent acquisition of Patech Solutions Limited.

One of the key attractions of Birmingham-based IT consultancy Patech Solutions was its significant experience of the Oracle e-business suite product stack and associated technologies.

CEO of Version 1, Justin Keatinge, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Patech Solutions Limited to the Version 1 team.  Patech is a close fit with our aggressive acquisition criteria and strengthens our public sector profile and our Oracle practice across Ireland and the UK".

Maples and Calder are a long-standing advisor to Version 1, having previously advised on the acquisition of IT consultancy, Rocela Group and the €8m capital investment by the BDO Development Capital Fund in 2014.

Version 1 founder, Justin Keatinge added: "Similar to Version 1, Patech has a successful and very strong public sector record, a sector in which we are keen to grow, so it is an exciting opportunity for us.  I would also like to thank Maples and Calder for their continued support as trusted legal advisers throughout the acquisition stage".

The Maples team was led by Patrick Quinlan, Corporate partner in the Maples' Dublin office.
