OVERVIEW

Alla is an associate of Maples and Calder's Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  Alla advises investment funds, fund managers, institutional investors, family offices and financial institutions on all aspects of fund formation (including private equity funds and hedge funds), private placement, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, liquidations, continuation of companies from other jurisdictions, debt and equity financing, registration and regulatory compliance. 

BACKGROUND

Alla joined the Maples Group in 2021.  She previously practised as a senior associate at a boutique Cayman Islands law firm specialising in investment funds. Prior to relocating to the Cayman Islands, Alla practised in Bennett Jones LLP's Toronto office focusing on M&A, private equity, real estate and debt financing transactions.  Alla completed her articles at the Ontario Securities Commission in Toronto, Canada at the Office of the Secretary and the Derivatives Branch.
