Position: Regulatory Executive
Location: Dublin

The Maples Group's Dublin offices offer legal, fund and fiduciary services to clients based in or doing business across Europe. 

Our legal services teams provide full service legal advice on all aspects of Irish corporate, employment, finance, funds and investment management, dispute resolution and insolvency, property and tax law, as well as related areas. 

Through our Irish Desks located within our Cayman Islands, Hong Kong and London offices, we are able to offer clients access to our market leading Irish legal advice from a time zone of their convenience. 

Financial Services Regulatory ("FSR")Team

Our regulatory lawyers and professionals have assisted some of the world's largest financial institutions in establishing a presence in multiple jurisdictions, and in fostering their relationship with regulators, tax and enforcement authorities. Through our presence on a range of industry associations and working groups in the development of financial service law and policy, and our established relationship with regulatory agencies, we can readily draw on this experience to offer prompt, pointed and clear advice to help our clients determine how best to maintain compliance.

With a depth of experience across all regulated sectors, our regulatory financial services advisory team is positioned to address your needs and sensitivities.

The Role

This is a permanent role and the key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with clients across a number of regulated sectors: asset management; lenders; investment firms; Fintechs; banks; brokers and insurers.
  • Preparation of client advices.
  • Reviewing and analysing new and forthcoming legislative and industry developments both at a European and Irish level and determine impact on our clients businesses.
  • Preparing policies and procedures for clients on topics such as Fitness and Probity, anti-money laundering, cyber security, outsourcing, data protection and corporate governance.
  • Preparing client updates on recent industry developments for publication.
  • Making ad hoc regulatory filings on behalf of clients.
  • Support the FSR team in delivering its KIID production offering to UCITS clients.
  • Preparing training and workshops for external clients and industry groups.
  • Assisting the FSR team with business development and new initiatives.



  • Hold a third level qualification (preferably legal/business)
  • Ideally 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Professional Diploma in Compliance from the ACOI.
  • Experience working on authorisation and change of control projects for financial services firms.
  • Experience working in an investment management company and/or the investment fund industry an advantage.
  • Experience in working in data protection an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Willingness to engage and learn across all aspect of financial service regulation.
  • The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with a proven ability to work on their own initiative within a challenging and dynamic work environment.
