Position: Assistant Vice President – Corporate Secretarial
Location: Cayman Islands

About the Role
The Assistant Vice President – Corporate Secretarial will serve in our global finance department as an integral part of the team.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Preparing the monthly and quarterly global financial reports;
  • Preparing transfer pricing reallocations, and preparing quality reviews of unaudited financial statements and supporting information on an ongoing basis.
  • The successful candidate will be involved in the global annual budgeting process, year end audits and preparation of audited financial statements for multiple legal entities, including stand alone and consolidated structures.
  • Experience with consolidations including foreign currencies will be an advantage.
  • Other responsibilities will include: global cash flow and liquidity analysis, global indirect tax and transfer pricing initiatives, global reporting as well as other ad-hoc analysis.
  • The successful candidate will be required to lead various initiatives or work as part of a project team and as such must possess strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Proven effectiveness in working with large teams across multiple jurisdictions and time zones is required.

EXPERIENCE

What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • The successful candidate will have completed an internationally recognised accounting or financial industry designation (e.g. CPA, ACA or ACCA).
  • He/she will have a minimum of 5 years post qualified experience and preferably 5 years Big 4 external audit experience.
  • In addition, relevant industry experience with a leading professional services company would be an advantage.
  • The successful candidate must possess excellent time management, interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • The willingness to work overtime on short notice is essential.
  • Other key skills and competencies for the role include strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (mainly IFRS 10 Consolidated Financial Statements) and a strong understanding of structured finance companies and hedge funds is preferred.
