James is an associate in Maples and Calder's Employment team in the Maples Group's Dublin office. James advises domestic and international companies and senior executives on all aspects of employment law, including drafting employment contracts and policies; the removal of board-level senior executives; outsourcings, pursuant to the transfer of undertakings regulations; disciplinary and grievance procedures; bullying, harassment and work-related stress processes; and enforcing post-termination restrictive covenants. James represents clients before employment tribunals and civil courts and regularly conducts his own advocacy. He also specialises in corporate immigration, advising on employment permit applications and appeals.
