OVERVIEW

Andreas is a partner of Maples and Calder's Fund & Investment Management team in the Maples Group's Cayman Islands office.  With over 20 years of legal experience, he specialises in the structuring, establishment and maintenance of private equity funds, hedge funds, closed-ended investment funds and private investment funds (HNW / family offices).  He also advises on all aspects of downstream corporate and commercial law and regularly acts on joint ventures, corporate acquisitions and related due diligence.  He works seamlessly with the Corporate and Finance teams and the Maples Group's international offices to achieve the most efficient and effective results for clients.

BACKGROUND

Andreas joined the Maples Group in 2004 where he worked in the London office until 2006.  He was elected as partner in 2008. Andreas previously worked for an international law firm in Jersey, and before that, for Mallesons Stephen Jaques in Australia.  He has been recommended in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners. Andreas is fluent in German.
