OVERVIEW
Cherrin is of counsel of Maples and Calder's Dispute Resolution & Insolvency team in the Maples Group's Singapore office. She specialises in complex multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation and arbitration, and regularly advises and acts for investment funds, public companies, and other multinational corporate clients on a wide range of contentious matters including shareholder disputes, fair value appraisal litigation, cross-border interim applications such as worldwide freezing injunctions and stay / anti-suit injunctions.
BACKGROUND
Cherrin joined the Maples Group's law firm in 2017. Prior to that, she qualified as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore in 2012 and was a senior associate at Rajah & Tann where she worked alongside senior counsels on complex, bilingual litigation and arbitrations, and other senior partners on multi-jurisdictional advisory work on regulatory matters. She appeared in the Singapore courts regularly as an advocate, and has assisted senior counsel and senior partners at trial both in the Supreme Court of Singapore and in the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands. Apart from complex commercial litigation, Cherrin has a keen interest in international arbitration and is an accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb).
